No man has taken more wickets in his first five ODIs than Naseem Shah

In the second match of theODI series against New Zealand, Pakistan's teenage bowler Naseem Shah created headlines by breaking a record.

He became the first bowler to take 18 wickets in five ODIs, Naeem Shah, who had only made his ODI debut a month before, wowed with his bowling talents.

The second one-day international (ODI) of the series between Pakistan and New Zealand was played on Wednesday at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi, where Pakistani bowler Naseem Shah continued to break records and provide stunning performances.


Ryan Harris and Gary Gilmour of Australia, who both took 14 wickets in the same number of matches{4} were surpassed by him when he took 15 wickets in the first four ODIs.


Following Pakistan's invitation to batting, New Zealand was leading the match and cruising at 125/3 but Naseem Shah shook the middle order and forced the Black Caps to finally end with 255/9.


Pakistan and New Zealand are set to play three games in this one-day international series, which is now tied by a score of 1-1 due to Pakistan's 79-run loss in game two.

After the game, Babar Azam tweeted his appreciation for the team's performance and specifically for Naseem Shah, who performed brilliantly.

Naseem Shah is the ninth-youngest Test cricketer to play.

As the youngest bowler (16 years, 359 days) to take a hat-trick in international cricket across formats, Naseem Shah set a new record.
