In this article, we will have an in-depth analysis of B.E./B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering program. It is a popular branch among students and offers decent job opportunities after graduation. Students who are interested in programming, software development, computer science and have good analytical and reasoning skills may pursue this course. B.C.A. (Bachelor of Computer Applications) is a slightly similar course. B.E./B.TECH. COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING: BASIC COURSE DETAILS

It is a 4 years long Undergraduate Level Degree program. The 4 years’ duration is divided into 8 semesters, with each semester lasting a period of 6 months. During each semester, students will have to face different sets of theoretical subjects as well as practical lab sessions associated with them.

B.E./B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering is all about Computer Sciences, programming languages, software development and testing, networking etc. It also focuses on using the above mentioned skills and knowledge for practical and Industry specific usage.

Along with theoretical classes, practical lab sessions associated with many subjects are also present. Some of the above mentioned subjects are recurring ones, meaning they will appear in more than one semester.

In case of some semesters, elective subjects are also present. The choice available, when it comes to elective subjects, varies from one Institute to another.

Apart from the above mentioned subjects and practical, Industrial training and project work will play an integral role in 6th, 7th and 8th semesters.

ELIGIILITY CRITERIA

10+2 Sciebce. Stream students with PhysicsChemistry and Mathematics subjects, who have passed board examination from a recognized board are eligible to pursue this course. Students must also have appeared for state level entrance examination to be considered eligible to take part in the admission process.

COURSES TO DO AFTER B.E./B.TECH. COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

Graduates may go for Diploma courses such as application development, Cyber Security courses, IT Edge courses etc.

Traditional M.E./M.Tech. programs also exists, which Graduates may pursue. Such programs will help one specialize in disciplines such as CAD, Networking, Security aspects etc.

M.B.A. is another choice available in front of Graduates. It will help Graduates obtain management skills and thus improve their qualifications.
