Four terrorists were killed as security forces repelled an attack on the Turbat Naval base

Security forces successfully prevented a terrorist attack on Pakistan Navy’s Airbase PNS Siddique in Turbat late Monday night, as per ARY News citing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

ISPR reported that four armed terrorists, equipped with heavy weapons and explosives, attempted to assault the Naval base in Turbat. However, prompt action by navy personnel thwarted the attack, ensuring the safety of the base and its personnel.

A Pakistan Navy spokesperson reveal

ed that the terrorists tried to breach the base from the Turbat Civil Airport area, initiating the assault with hand grenades and gunfire. Yet, the timely and coordinated response from Pakistan Navy personnel repelled the attackers, preventing their entry and neutralizing all threats.

During the operation, FC personnel Noman Farid made the ultimate sacrifice, embracing martyrdom while defending against the assailants.

Subsequently, a joint clearance operation involving Pakistan Navy, Frontier Corps, and local police was launched to sweep the vicinity for any remaining threats and terrorists.

This incident follows a recent attack by the BLA on the residential complex of Gwadar Port Authority on March 20, resulting in the martyrdom of two security personnel. In response, security forces eliminated eight terrorists in retaliatory action.
