India Fans Abuse 'Wrong Adam Zampa' After World Cup Defeat

Following their loss in the ICC World Cup 2023 final, Australian players are receiving social media abuse from Indian supporters.

When facing the Australians, the Indian squad, which had never lost until the big event final, was at a loss.

The Indian team is currently the target of a lot of criticism in the media and on social media, and some supporters have taken to the Australian players' social media accounts to vent their dissatisfaction.

s have been observed making fun of Slovakian cricket player Adam Zampa, who has nothing to do with the sport. Since he was Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa, the Indians began to make fun of him.

Meanwhile, Australian players’ families are also facing harassment and threats from Indian fans. The wife and daughter of the Player of the Match in the final, Travis Head, are receiving online abuse and threats from disgruntled Indian supporters.

Even Indian-origin Australian player Glenn Maxwell‘s wife, Vini Raman, is being targeted with hate messages after the World Cup final loss.

It’s worth noting that Australia won the title by defeating India by six wickets in the ICC Cricket World Cup final held in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
