Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted conditional permission to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday to hold a rally in the city.

Chief Justice IHC Aamer Farooq presided over the PTI's plea seeking authorization for the rally. The Court instructed the district administration to permit PTI to conduct the rally in Islamabad on March 30.

Chief Justice IHC emphasized that only standard Terms of Reference (TOR) should be adhered to without imposing any un

usual conditions.

Earlier, the deputy commissioner of Islamabad declined PTI's request to hold the rally in the capital on March 30, citing concerns over the law and order situation.

PTI had announced plans for a public rally in Islamabad on March 30 to protest against alleged election rigging. Following a meeting of the PTI core committee, a statement was issued expressing concern over the loss of the party's bat symbol and the closure of its Lahore office. The committee stressed the need for intensified efforts to restore the party's electoral symbol and to pursue legal avenues to reopen the party office.
