ISLAMABAD – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is slated to embark on an official visit to Pakistan on April 22, with the objective of bolstering bilateral ties between the two nations.

Raisi's forthcoming visit to Pakistan follows an invitation extended by President Asif Ali Zardari and marks his inaugural foreign trip following recent tensions between Iran and Israel.

During President Raisi’s visit, discussions will focus on advancing the Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline project and devising strategies to navigate potential challenges posed by the United States.

Sources indicate that President Raisi's agenda will encompass discussions on bilateral relations, security cooperation, the progress of the gas pipeline project, and the exploration of potential free trade agreements.
