Pakistan announces new petrol and diesel prices

ISLAMABAD The new pricing for gasoline and diesel in Pakistan have been announced by the interim federal administration.

Although a drop of Rs7 per litre was announced for diesel, Rs3.82 for kerosene oil, and Rs4.52 for light-speed diesel (LSD), the federal government opted to keep the old petrol price.

The caretaker federal administration lowered the price of gasoline and fuel on November 15.

There has been a reduction in the price of gasoline by Rs. 2.04, diese

l by Rs. 6.47, kerosene oil by Rs. 6.05, and light-speed diesel (LSD) by Rs. 9.01 per liter.

In mid-October, Pakistan drastically reduced the price of gasoline by Rs40 per liter.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) previously announced on October 15 that the price of gasoline was fixed at Rs283.38 a litre, with a reduction of Rs40 per liter.

On the other hand, the cost of kerosene oil has decreased by Rs22.43 per litre to Rs214.85 and that of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 15 per liter to Rs 303.18.

The price of gasoline and diesel, however, remained the same for fifteen days starting on November 1.
