MAKKAH: In a significant meeting held during Iftar on Sunday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif engaged in discussions with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring areas of mutual interest.

Invited by the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Sharif, along with his delegation, extended heartfelt prayers and well-wishes for the health of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the revered C

ustodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

The Prime Minister expressed his deep appreciation for the hospitable reception provided by the Saudi authorities.

The meeting underscored the positive momentum in the longstanding brotherly relations between the two nations, with both leaders expressing a shared commitment to further enhance these ties. Post-Iftar, the leaders held a comprehensive bilateral meeting, which was followed by a one-on-one discussion between Prime Minister Sharif and the Crown Prince.

Prime Minister Sharif's visit to Saudi Arabia, which commenced on Saturday for a three-day duration, marks his first international trip since assuming office.

Upon arrival, he was warmly welcomed by the Governor of Madina Munawarah, Prince Salman Bin Sultan Al Saud, at the airport.

Traveling via a commercial airline, Prime Minister Sharif interacted amicably with fellow passengers, sharing conversations and taking selfies.

Accompanying the Prime Minister were notable figures including Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and federal cabinet members such as Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Abdul Aleem Khan, Attaullah Tarar, and Ahad Cheema.
